Welcome to the "Synergy Witches Boogie" and The "Farewell Antonio Ash Dive" event galleries at Skydive Cuautla in Mexico. Please note that this is a 2-part gallery.
Skydivers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, United States, Canada and Mexico came to participate in these parallel events. The weekend was headed by a day of honoring and remembering Antonio Montaño, founder and co-owner of Skydive Cuautla and a wonderful human being who was well known internationally in the skydiving community. Antonio passed on October 28th 2020 due to complications related to COVID-19 . The day was filled with laughter and fun skydives along with the decoration of an offering to Antonio. it continued with a very touching minute of silence in front of his offering prior to going up to release part of his ashes symbolizing eternal flight. After landing pilots performed a traditional aircraft buz-job which was followed by the release of balloons, fireworks and a party with a Mariachi band (Antonio loved this music, he also had an amazing voice and he was never too shy to sing for others).
The weekend continued with the "Synergy Witches Boogie", a unique picturesque event with a theme of celebrating the dead which is a national tradition in Mexico called "Dia De Los Muertos" (Day Of The Dead) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_Dead . International events organizers included: Alex Klöckner, Ana Aponte, Alethia Austin, Fernando Gallegos, Marcos Darman, with special guests: Kate Cooper-Jensen and Carsten Cooper-Jensen with the main focus being "fun"
Evening festivities included dancing and ceremonies to honor the dead and living (very typical of Mexico).
The facilities, staff and atmosphere at Skydive Cuautla made this the perfect place to have this event. The atmosphere was one of fun!
